My story
This May, I’m taking on a challenge that’s equal parts heartwarming and slightly chaotic: walking my dog every single day to raise money for blood cancer research.
Now, if you know my dog, you’ll understand this isn’t just a “nice stroll in the park” situation. This is more like being dragged at speed by a furry missile who thinks every squirrel is a personal insult. So yes, I’m basically committing to daily cardio against my will… all for a great cause.
The reason behind this matters a lot to me. My mum had cancer, and watching her go through it showed me just how important research, support, and care really are. This is my way of giving something back — and if that means being outpaced by a dog who refuses to walk in a straight line, so be it.
Every step (and every near faceplant) is for people and families going through blood cancer right now.
If you can, please support — donate, share, or just cheer me on as I attempt to survive 31 days of enthusiastic dog walking.
Thank you 💛
